The season opening Senior 20/20 competition managed to be completed despite the threat of rain. By all accounts it was a most successful event and well enjoyed by all teams. The qualifiers from the four groups were Highland, Forres, RAF Lossiemouth and Huntly. Forres defeated Highland in the first semi final hosted at Nairn, whilst RAF Lossiemouth dispatched Huntly at Forres. In the final RAF Lossiemouth batted first and posted 154 for 4 with Dave Wolton top scoring on 44. Forres replied with 158 for 2 off 19.2 overs with Tony Farr slapping 54no. Congratulations to Forres on lifting the first trophy of the season.
