The following programme is run annually by the Moray Cricket Association for it's member clubs and for all girls playing cricket in Moray:
Summer (all outdoor)
U12 - Eadie Walls Trophy Kwik Cricket League
8-a-side, general KC rules plus a fair play trophy (mixed tournament for Moray Clubs)
U17 - MCA Girls Intermediate League
7-a-side girls only league.
Several formats from 10 to 16 overs aside. Retire on 20 but can return if all other wickets in team lost. 2 overs per bowler for 10 overs aside and 3 overs per bowler for 16 overs a-side. (Played with bowling machine ball or heavy rubber GN ball, with batters and keeper in full protective equipment).
U14 - Gordon Baxter Junior League
8-a-side mixed league. 16 overs a-side full hard ball. 20 retire but can return if all other wickets are lost. 3 overs maximum per bowler.
U16 - MCA Colts U16 League
11-a-side mixed League, 20 overs aside full hard ball. 50 retire but can return if all other wickets are lost. 4 overs per bowler
Winter (all indoors)
U13 - MCA Girls Only Winter League
6 overs a-side, 3 pairs of batters bat two overs each. Scoring system is same as Kwik cricket. All players bowl 1 over each. Kwik Cricket ball used.
U14 - MCA U14 Mixed Winter League
Same rules as Girls Only Winter League. Wind ball used.
U16 - MCA U16 Mixed Winter League
10 overs a-side, batters retire on 20, but can return when all other wickets are lost. 2 overs per bowler apart from keeper who doesn't bowl. Played with Kookaburra Indoor hardball. All batters & keeper in full protective equipment.
